Here are the details of my maternal grandfather, John Bermingham SPELLS and his military career in the Australian Army during WWI. His unit, the 3rd Light Horse (mounted infantry) landed at Gallipoli, Turkey, where his eyesight was damaged and he had to return to Australia. I have framed a program from a concert he attended in Cairo, before they moved on to Gallipoli.
