Studebaker Lark- My Teenage Identity

For whatever reason I have no memory of how I came to own a Studebaker Lark. It was my very first personally-owned vehicle. I'm sure it didn't run well because I would've had very little money to support it in high school. What I do remember is that the front seats were able to recline all the way back, making a sort of bed. I'm not sure what would attract me to that at 16 years of age but I can make a guess.

I know I would remember if anything happened but since my mind is blank I'd be willing to bet absolutely nothing. I can't even remember how long I owned the car or how I sold it. The only real memory was that I took Chrsitine on our first date with a Studebaker Lark. That was memorable. But again, absolutely nothing happened.

Maybe it's nostalgia but I have a soft spot in my heart for the Studebaker Lark. Sounds like a song I need to write.

This photo is not of my actual car but if you have never seen a Studebaker Lark, this is what they look like. Mine was pea green.

On My Own….
My teenage years were chlorine filled...

Tom, nice car! It has been a long time since I saw and rode in a Studebaker. Oh, the GOOD OLD DAYS!

I found the original photo of the Lark. I'll have to update this story.
