Path of Least Resistance

“The path of least resistance is rarely the path of wisdom” Tim Cook, Apple CEO 2021

Ask yourself what path are you one now that could be a 10% upgrade or a 20% upgrade. What will be the difference at the end of the 10% journey and the end of the 20% journey? Ask yourself is the wiser choice to take the 25% journey. What is the difference between grades of “C's” and “B's” and grades of  “A's” and “B's” in your long-term journey of life?

I had a friend once tell me that someone calculated that graduating from college with a "B" bee average in engineering meant job offers were thousands of dollars less than those who graduated with an "A" average.

Only you can answer for yourself is the "B" grades a path of least resistance and is taking that path wise. Make that decision before you begin the path because once you have completed it there is no going back.

If you are anything like me, you are always looking for tips, help, inspiration, and guidance with regard to self-improvement. The path of least resistance is not very promising, since you suggest a 10% upgrade or a 20% upgrade might be under consideration. Does a 10% upgrade stop at 10% of the distance traveled? Or does it stop at 10% of the time spent? For me, the very rocky path of an engineering degree is beyond my ken, so a 10% upgrade is unthinkable. In my wildest dreams, I would earn A's but in reality, I would probably flunk out.

Your short posting is thought-provoking, thus I returned to it seeking additional stimulus. Throughout my life, I never considered whether my journey to a remote fishing hole would get me 10% or 20% there. We tend to give it our best, whatever that may be.
