My Childhood Home - Peterborough, South Australia

I grew up in a railway town called Peterborough in the outback of South Australia. Times were far different then and this story testifies to that.

Joyce, what a delightful story! I love the way your family worked together as a team. You didn't ask why you were just expected to do these chores. That is how I was raised as well. We had 4 girls and never stopped to ask why when we had to do any chore Dad or Mom asked of us. We were very dependent on each other. Love your delightful attitude, thank you for sharing, hugs, Christine

The times you describe, although on the other side of the world from where I grew up, contains many common themes. We just lived life a day at a time and did the chores we were expected to do, didn't we? Very different times from today, indeed. Great story and the telling of it in your own voice makes it priceless!
