Coming to America

My distant relative came from Cartmel Parish Northumberland England in or about 1685.  He was a Quaker.  He lived in the area of Woodbridge NJ near the Delaware River.  According to other published stories he was a frequent visitor and guest of the Lenape Indians who lived in the area.  He learned many of their natural curing medicines and treatments and was known as Dr. Roger Parks.

Gary, when you say he's a distant relative that's an understatement. Do you know the chain or whether he's a great uncle "45th removed"? Really cool!

How cool, do you have any of his journals? This is fascinating!

How interesting that he was a guest of the Indians. He must have really been a help and liked by everyone! Do you have all of his direct line back to 1685?
