Fruit Salad

You can't have a family gathering without food!

Fruit Salad
One of our favorite dishes any time of the year but always at Thanksgiving! My sister-in-law, Jan Larsen gave me this recipe.


Ingredients:
3 apples
3 bananas
1 bunch of grapes
1/2 pint of strawberries
2-15oz cans of mandarin oranges
1- 20 oz can of pineapple slices
1-12 oz Cool Whip, thawed
1-12 oz lemon pudding mix
1/2 cup grated coconut (optional)

Mix Cool Whip, lemon pudding mix and coconut (optional) in a large bowl.
Wash and dry apples, grapes and strawberries. Core, slice and cut apples into bite-sized pieces. Cut grapes in half. Drain juice from oranges and pineapple. Cut pineapples into chunks. Add all fruit except bananas and strawberries into topping and stir gently. Refrigerate until ready to eat. Before serving, cut up bananas and strawberries. Stir bananas into salad. Arrange strawberries on top.

Servings: 8



David likes the strawberries best!
