The Tree That Will Live Forever

When I was about 20 years old I remember my mother being so grieved about a walnut tree that was being cut down at her old homeplace.  She asked the owner of her old homeplace for some of the wood.  Finally, she decided to have picture frames made from the walnut wood.  She had a picture framed of my husband, my son and me.  She needlepointed an "M" for Manili and framed it with the wood.  I still have our family picture and Jonathan has the picture needlepointed "M."

Lisa, the walnut tree could not have been better preserved, and within its frames are additional evidence of your mother's love. Nice story!

Golden, Thank you so much for reading my story. My friend, Karen Jenkins,(I think you know her) is making me do this. I'm already grateful to her for this.
