The 4th-

The celebration of our Country's Independence from England.

Let's focus on the pieces of the whole for a moment and celebrate the common every-day citizens who, over the centuries, have voluntarily (and let's not forget not so voluntarily-drafted) stepped into harms way to protect the initial Declaration of Independence wayyyyyyy back in the summer of 1776.  Let's not forget the families of those individuals who sacrificed just as much, but in different ways, through the absence of their family member's temporary or permanent departure.  Also, let's not forget the supporting players who assist our common citizen defenders...the nurses, the manufacturing workers (Rosie the riveter), U.S.O. volunteers and countless other common citizens upon which the burden of the continuance of the Nation's Independence is carried today, tomorrow and into the future.  These are the people I celebrate on this 4th of July.
